I' ve been on the ms3 forum an heard a lot of good about this top mount. Highly recommend this product, great quality and looks aggressive under the hood(got mine in black). Off boost acceleration feels much lighter and smoother, great for those who want daily drivability. Turbo spool time is about the same as with the stock TMIC but boost hits harder. Really impressed with the performance of the ETS TMIC, immediately noticed the increased torque in the low RPM range. But for someone who is just putting on a few bolt ons, or even going to a moderate turbo upgrade, this ETS really keeps up. I love how the shroud mates up to the stock flange under the hood to maximize the cooling effect.Īs many will point out, if you' re looking to go for extreme power, Front Mount is almost a must. Out on the open road, this thing is fantastic! It flows and cools very well. If you need it, it' s just a short burst. But I guess the question is how much does this matter? In stop go traffic, really low Boost Temps aren' t necessary, as you' re able to get on the throttle much anyways. Living in Florida, and not wanting to go front mount, I wanted to give my car the best cooling advantage I could.Īs expected, it does heat soak when the car sits stationary.
It better be, as it' s almost $200 more than the other options out there, such as the CP-E. 5 Fantasticly Made Top mount Intercooler.
